The data collected is stored on the host's servers. This is done in the interest of a secure, fast and reliable provision of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with the provider where required.

If you contact me by email or via the contact form, the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, content of the message) will be processed in order to respond to your inquiry. The contact form on this website opens your local email program for this purpose; form data is not stored on this website's server.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of pre-contractual measures or fulfilment of a contract), otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (interest in responding to inquiries).
Retention period: the data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected; statutory and professional retention obligations remain unaffected.

Note on confidentiality: please do not send confidential invention details unencrypted by email. For secure transmission, I recommend encryption via PGP/GPG.

6. Data processing related to client engagements

Within the scope of a client engagement, I process personal data in order to provide patent attorney services. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and, where applicable, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with the professional obligations under the Patent Attorney Act (Patentanwaltsordnung). The attorney's duty of confidentiality applies.

7. Embedded content (ExploOrbit)

On the "Beyond the Office" page, the game "ExploOrbit" is embedded as a locally hosted file via an embedded window (iframe). No personal data is transmitted to third parties in this process; no external third-party services are integrated.
